Alice Zaslavsky

Lifestyle | Food & Wine, Motivational, Media

A self-confessed “Ferd” or “Food Nerd”, Alice left her career as Deputy Head of Humanities & Middle School English teacher behind for MasterChef 2012. Having left just before finals-week, Alice stood out for her quirky sense of humour and style …and her very big glasses.

Throwing herself into the industry with gusto since leaving the competition, Alice is set to host a popular children’s television show, is writing a children’s book about whole-foods and devising a ‘playground to paddock’ excursion program for schools whilst continuing to consolidate her work as a locavore and ‘real food’ advocate. She combines her love of travel, teaching and food to inspire and teach people of all ages to eat real food, have fun in the kitchen and follow their passions.

Alice moved with her family from Georgia to the unknown shores of Down-Under as a child. She spent much of her youth engrossed in the cuisines of different and distant lands across Europe and Asia as she traveled the world with her computer scientist parents. She has trekked her way to Everest Base-Camp, reached the Arctic Circle, and gone deep-sea fishing on the Great Barrier Reef.
