Matt Caruana

Matt Caruana’s mission is ‘to be an example of hope for others through action’.

Matt became paraplegic at 16 after attempting suicide. He has since turned the “worst day of his life” into his greatest years by forging his best-self to be an example of hope for others. He is an ambassador for Lifeline Australia, Basketball NSW and in 2023, he broke the Guinness World Record for the most towel pull-ups in one minute.

Matt, alongside 14 other Australians featured in John Brogden’s new book, “Profiles in Hope.” He appeared alongside James Packer, Robbie Williams and Jacqui Lambie on Channel 7’s top-rating Spotlight TV program.

Having completed hundreds of speaking engagements, Matt delivers a powerful and motivating story sharing his experience to inspire individuals of all ages to see and sense their true worth and potential.
